The legend is connected with Mykulychyn:
During the reign of Prince Danylo Halytsky there was a voivode Mykola, who was very loyal to the prince. I liked the voivode Carpathian mountains and told about the village to the prince. He listened, gave him a way and ordered to develop land.
Upon arrival in the village convened Nicholas residents to establish their own law and local population good it accepted. Boyar Mykula was walking with his army in the mountains. But once surrounded by his enemy army on a high mountain and there was nowhere to go. But Mykulen's army and Mykola himself were not afraid.
They sang their patriotic songs then.
Their singing, like great thunder, rolled over all the mountains - over Hoverla, over Pruts, over Prut. The enemy army of that singing was frightened, and their elder ordered to capture Mykola. Nicholas was not afraid, he ran to the mountain above the river, stood over it and killed the whole army.
And this mountain began to be called Mykulynka, and the village - Mykulychyn.
